About this site

The Temple of AthenaThis website is dedicated to propagating information and hosting discussions about both current and past interesting world events, primarily involving the subjects of history, politics, science and computers—not necessarily in that order—although we don't feel any necessity to strictly delimit subject matter. The site was conceived as a needed contrast to the inane ravings of that fabricated political celebrity, Joe the Plumber, and the rest of his ignorant, misinformed ilk.

Use the menu on the left side of the page to navigate to areas of interest. The home page will function much like a blog, where the latest topics and discussions will be featured, including reviews of books, both current and classic, news stories, Joe's thoughts and submitted comments, and similar content.

Finally, although you are welcome to browse and read any published content, you may soon need to become a registered user and login in order to post comments or contact the webmaster. This may be necessary to (1) block spammers and (2) block would-be right-wing saboteurs and others of similarly low ethical standards. Be assured that the minimal information we require during the registration process will be kept private and not used or disseminated in any way withhout notifying you. This is not Facebook!  Enjoy!
